Draw Plus More Math
Draw Plus MORE Math was created to help students enhance math learning through art activities with exercises that supplement the study of math in a fun way. It is a continuation of Draw Plus Math at a slightly more challenging level.
Children learn through all of their senses. For visual and kinetic learners, concepts such as fractions and ratios are more accessible when presented as a drawing lesson. Learning to see patterns in art and nature is a mathematical skill. Symmetry reveals patterns that help organize the world.
The concepts presented include radial and other symmetry, complex patterns, tangrams, tessellations, circles and triangles, geometric solids, simple fractals, ratio. scale and proportion.
The lessons in Draw Plus More Math are based on learning goals outlined by the Principles and Standards for School Mathematics, developed by the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics.
