Study Shows Parents Want Kids to Enjoy Print Books

July 3, 2013

The Pew Research Center has released the results of a survey on parents, children, and reading habits. According to the study, parents with young children tend to read more often in general. While there is no question that parents enjoy reading eBooks, a majority of them feel that it's important to have their kids interact with print books as well.

“When it comes to sharing books or reading with a child, most Americans adults (not just parents) who have read both print and e-books think that print books are the better option…Many parents described positive memories of their early reading habits and library use, memories centered around print books. One said that picking up books from the library was a reward for good behavior.” more at the Pew Research Center Fact-Tank▸▸
