#ReadAcrossAmerica Day brings cats, hats, green eggs and ham into schools

March 3, 2017

Yesterday was the 20th anniversary of Read Across America Day, a campaign the National Education Association organizes to celebrate literacy.

Read Across America Day is held every March 2, which is the birthday of the late Theodor Seuss Geisel, better known as Dr. Seuss — so it’s also a celebration of his beloved children’s books.

Check out the LA Times round-up on some of the excitement that happened around schools across the nation here.
