High Wire Act

High Wire Act

by Kathy Brodsky

High Wire Act is a story in rhyme about a little traffic light that, because of strong winds, swings too high, falls off its wire and lands on a truck with soft cargo. As it travels all around the city, traffic gets extremely congested and for the first time, the light is aware that without it, the roads become a mess. It never realized its importance until then. The book is dedicated to “Anyone who ever wondered, ‘Do I really matter?’”

All of the main characters from Kathy Brodsky’s other picture books (My Bent Tree, The Inside Story, Just Sniffing Around, Purrsnikitty, The Winner is, Stover, A Horse Named Special and A CatFish Tale) appear in High Wire Act.
