Our new feature familiarizes you with the diverse imprints of our member houses! This month, assistant editor Emily Fabre gives us a tour of Margaret K. McElderry Books!  

Margaret K. McElderry Books is a boutique imprint of Simon & Schuster Children’s Publishing and was founded in 1972 by the legendary editor Margaret K. McElderry.

McElderry Books publishes for the picture book, middle-grade, and teen markets and is best known for high-quality literary fantasy, historical and contemporary fiction, non-fiction, picture books, and poetry. Our list ranges from sweet, character-driven picture books to edgy teen fiction. McElderry Books also has a rich history of publishing imported books and working with foreign authors.
