School Library Month

April is School Library Month, the American Association of School Librarians’ celebration of school librarians and their programs. Each April librarians are encouraged to host activities in celebration of the essential role school libraries play in education.

The 2016 theme is “School Libraries Transform Learning.” Megan McDonald, author of the popular Judy Moody series, will serve as this year’s national spokesperson.
