Magician of the Modern: The Art of Leonard Weisgard
The Eric Carle Museum of Picture Book Art will present Magician of the Modern: The Art of Leonard Weisgard from March 8 to June 5, 2016.
In celebration of the 100th anniversary of Weisgard’s birth, the exhibit will feature work by the acclaimed children’s book illustrator. Highlights include original art from Cinderella (1939), Red Light/Green Light (1944), The Little Island (1946), The Golden Egg Book (1947), and The Funny Bunny Factory (1950).
Guest Curator Leonard S. Marcus will give a gallery talk on Sunday, March 13, 2016 at 2 pm.
