WHO & WHAT: Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library – an initiative that sends children a new book in the mail each month – and Richard Robinson, President and CEO of Scholasic Inc., will both be recognized with “Literacy Champion” Awards at the annual gala for Reach Out and Read of Greater New York. The event will be attended by guests from the industries of publishing, entertainment, and public health, and will raise money to support children’s literacy in New York.
WHY: Reach Out and Read of Greater New York partners with both Scholastic and the NYC Imagination Library to promote early literacy.
