Little Miss HISTORY Travels to INTREPID Sea, Air & Space Museum

Where can you explore life on a submarine, an aircraft carrier and outer space all in one place? At the INTREPID Sea, Air, and Space Museum visitors can watch a movie showing Japanese Kamikaze attacks, view actual WW II planes, and explore the Growler, a nuclear submarine. One can climb into a Huey helicopter or walk right past the Space Shuttle Enterprise. Learn how the Intrepid rescued space capsules from the ocean, and cruised the seas searching for Russian submarines during the Cold War. After being rescued from the scrap heap, Intrepid again rose to glory by serving as the FBI command center after the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center in New York City.
