National Velociraptor Awareness Day

On National Velociraptor Awareness Day (April 18), we celebrate these Jurassic raptors known for their ferocity and intelligence. Maybe you’ve gone to see fossils at the museum or played with dinosaur figurines or you’ve watched any of the Jurassic Park or Jurassic World movies (Blue!). If you have, you may have seen these vicious Velociraptors lurking about with the mighty T-Rex, the spiny Stegosaurus, and the long-necked Brachiosaurus. Let’s pick up a book or ask a dinosaur paleontologist to learn more about Velociraptors!
