Transgender Day of Remembrance

The new CBC Holidays Series will explore stories that relate to specific holidays so that kid, and adult, readers can celebrate in the best way we know how… with a good book!

Today, Saturday, November 20th, we celebrate Transgender Day of Remembrance, a day where we acknowledge and commend transgender individuals of all ages. It isn’t always easy to discover one’s identity, much less share one’s true self with loved ones and friends, so we compiled a few books to show how to support and care for transgender people in our lives. Let’s pick up a book and celebrate a day where we commemorate all expressions of gender identity and share love and hope.
