Children’s Book Week Celebrations at Books of Wonder

A weekend of wonderful virtual events at Books of Wonder to wrap up a week of Children’s Book Week events!

Children’s book legend Peter Glassman is wrapping up a week of Children’s Book Week events with a weekend of wonderful virtual events at Books of Wonder —featuring some of the biggest names in children’s books— on Saturday, November 13.

At 1:00 pm ET, they will celebrate four beloved artists who are celebrating anniversaries of their books winning the Caldecott Medal. Celebrate with CHRIS VAN ALLSBURG for the 40th anniversary of Jumanji, DAVID WIESNER for the 30th anniversary of Tuesday (as well as the 20th anniversary of The Three Pigs, and the 15th anniversary of Flotsam), PAUL O. ZELINSKY, for the 25th anniversary of Rumpelstiltskin, BRYAN COLLIER for the 20th anniversary of Martin’s Big Words (Bryan is the illustrator of the 2021 official Children’s Book Week poster!), and CHRIS RASCHKA for the 10th anniversary of A Ball for Daisy.

And at 3:00 pm ET, join Books of Wonder for an event celebrating major middle-grade anniversaries: the 20th anniversary of Artemis Fowl, the 10th anniversary of Wonderstruck, and the 35th anniversary of Howl’s Moving Castle! This event will feature EOIN COLFER, bestselling author of the Artemis Fowl series, BRIAN SELZNICK, the award-winning author of Wonderstruck, and MEGAN WHALEN TURNER, author of the Newberry Honor novel The Thief and good friend of the late DIANA WYNNE JONES, author of the beloved Howl’s Moving Castle
