USPS Stamps & Children’s Book Week

The Children’s Book Council’s interns have completed the mailing of over 1,000 envelopes to participating schools, libraries, and bookstores for the fall Children’s Book Week, taking place November 8 – 14.

Continuing a fun tradition, the envelopes featured a wide range of USPS stamps featuring flowers, dragons, Star Wars robots, as well as stamps celebrating A Snowy Day, the 19th Amendment, Voices of the Harlem Renaissance, and contemporary artists.

A librarian last year posted a thank you with the hashtag #radstamps.

Many many thanks to CBC office supervisor Nick Rodriquez, Rachel Smithline of Pace’s publishing program, and DPI grads Laci Durham, Grace Houghton, and Devon Burnham for their work on this mailing and other CBC-related research.
