This week we are excited to feature Megan Cooley Peterson, author of The Liar’s Daughter (Holiday House). Get to know Megan through fun questions below.

What’s your favorite (current or all-time) movie, dessert, and adult book?

Hocus Pocus
Cherry chocolate ice cream
Bridget Jones’s Diary

What was your favorite childhood TV show and why?

Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood was my favorite childhood TV show. He felt like a trusted friend, and I really enjoyed learning about all kinds of different topics. And I loved traveling with him to the Land of Make Believe!

What fictional place would you most like to go?

I would love to go to the house in Milk Street in Katherine Howe’s novels The Physick Book of Deliverance Dane and The Daughters of Temperance Hobbs. It’s this old house in Marblehead, Massachusetts, built in the 1600s. It’s filled with odd charm and magic. I can imagine myself curled up in front of the fireplace, reading a good book.

Tell us one insider-fact about The Liar’s Daughter.

I found my editor on Twitter before I even had a literary agent! I entered a Twitter pitch contest, and my editor requested the book. A few weeks later, she offered to buy my book! And then I found my agent.
