The 21st Century Children’s Nonfiction Conference

The second annual 21st Century Children’s Nonfiction Conference will take place this year at the State University of New York. The conference aims to display the verve and capabilities of nonfiction, and to show that it can be just as creative as fiction. The conference is open to authors, illustrators, publishers, teachers, librarians, and students.

Conference programs include panels and workshops about marketing, publishing and branding, as well as designing, illustrating, and finding/following up on research leads. A limited number of individual feedback consultations will also be available on a first-come-first-served basis — attendees can sign up when they register online for the conference itself.
