Rock God Launch Party & Jam Session with Young Adult Writers band, Tiger Beat, at Barnes & Noble on Thursday, January 19

Who: Barnabas Miller, YA author and drummer for Tiger Beat, drew on his own musical background and history to write his latest novel, ROCK GOD: THE LEGEND OF BJ LEVINE. He started his professional life as “kid jingle singer” for brands like Toys R US and Matchbox (just ask him to perform the Matchbox Rap or I’m a Toys R Us Kid.) His love of music led him to his current work producing music for film and television.

What: An entertaining, rock-charged wild ride featuring more outlandish characters than This is Spinal Tap, ROCK GOD is the hilarious story of B.J. Levine, a mild-mannered nebbish who wants to escape his humdrum existence, bond with his rocker father and find his true purpose in life – not necessarily in that order. BJ knows that he is destined to be a Mega Lord of Rock — if only he had a modicum of musical talent. The perfect combination of Rock N’ Roll comedy and a coming-of-age novel, ROCK GOD has Kirkus Reviews chuckling, “The story makes as much sense as your average Queen song, and it’s just as much fun.”

Event Information: Tiger Beat is celebrating the launch of ROCK GOD with a blow-out jam session at B&N’s Upper East Side store on Thursday, January 19th at 7pm.
