American Bookseller’s Association Children’s Institute

The ABA’s second annual Children’s Institute will be a day-long education program open exclusively to ABA Group member booksellers.

The 2014 Children’s Institute will feature an Opening Plenary, Closing Reception, Children’s Rep Picks Luncheon, roundtables, and a diverse array of important educational programming, including sessions on:

  • Selling Picture Books in the Wake of Age Compression
  • How to Address Censorship in Schools
  • Diversity in Children’s Literature
  • The Law of Attraction: How to Entice Publicists and Authors
  • Child Development & Literacy
  • How to Host a Successful Teacher Night

Registration for the Children’s Institute will open in October, and the conference fee will be $79. The special hotel rate will be $119 per night. More details about the event are forthcoming.
