In May 2011, unbeknownst to his owner, Dozer leaves his yard and joins runners participating in the Maryland Half Marathon, a race benefitting the University of Maryland Greenebaum Cancer Center. Once across the finish line, Dozer soon discovered his was tired, alone and far from home. No one is quite sure how Dozer navigated his way back home, but by the next morning Dozer was home and reunited with his worried family.
