Sherlock Holmes Day

The Funtastic Festivity Booklists compile stories that relate to fun and festive days so that readers of all ages can join the celebration with a good book!

The game is afoot, as today, May 22nd, is Sherlock Holmes Day! With his clever mind, cool detective tools, and loyal friend Dr. Watson, Sherlock Holmes has been solving mysteries for over 100 years. Whether he’s chasing clues through foggy London or outsmarting sneaky villains, Sherlock shows us how fun thinking and observing can be. If you love puzzles, adventures, and solving mysteries, today is the perfect day to jump into one of his exciting cases.

It is also Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s birthday today (the author of the great detective), so we similarly celebrate him along with his beloved characters. Whether you want to use your own deductive reasoning with your friends or read up on the famous cases, we hope you have a day full of adventure!
