Black History Month

The CBC would like to share this important message from Just Us Books:

Every February, retailers across the nation extend shelf space to products that celebrate the richness of Black history and culture. It’s an important expansion. We especially love it when Black brands get much-needed and well-deserved exposure to new consumers through these Black History Month initiatives.

But it’s also a reminder that there are many more Black-owned brands and businesses that center Black people and Black culture every month of the year.

If books are part of your Black History Month celebration (and we hope they are!) we encourage you to support Black publishers and booksellers who bring us these important, often less-known stories, all year long.
