The Children’s Book Council and DOGObooks.com Partner to Encourage Kids to Read More This Summer

Tiburon, CA May 20, 2015 — For the 3rd year in a row The Children’s Book Council is proud to once again partner with DOGObooks.com on their annual Summer Reading Program at http://www.dogobooks.com/summer

The DOGObooks Summer Reading program is open to Kids in Grades 3-8 who can earn free books by reading and reviewing books this summer. Kids sign up for free at DOGObooks where they will find a Reading Catalog of over 78 popular books selected by 16 leading children’s book publishers. For reading and reviewing three books in the catalog kids can select a free book from a Prize Catalog of 76 book titles and over 3,500 new books.

In addition, the top ten schools with the most students signed-up will win 50 books and, new for this year, the top ten libraries with the most kids signed-up will also win 50 books each as well.

Publishers sponsoring Summer Reading this year are: Amulet Books, Algonquin Publishing, Andrews McMeel Publishing,Bloomsbury Children’s Publishing, Baker & Taylor Publishing, Candlewick Press, DK Publishing, Disney-Hyperion Books, Penguin Group, Macmillan Children’s Publishing, Random House, Simon & Schuster, Scholastic, Quirk Books, Houghton Mifflin Harcourt,Papercutz, and Zonderkidz.
