The publishers provide these annotations.
Please use these lists as a reference when looking for books for your students. As you will see, poetry books vary widely in terms of style, and thus in who will enjoy them. By providing your students with a wide selection from which to choose, you will ensure that everyone will find poems to which they can relate and which they can enjoy.
