The ALA Unveils the 2013 Newbery & Caldecott Medal Winners

The winners of the American Library Association's 2013 youth media awards have been unveiled. Katherine Applegate's middle-grade novel, The One and Only Ivan, won the Newbery Medal and Jon Klassen's picture book, This Is Not My Hat, won the Caldecott Medal. The announcement was made at the ALA's Midwinter Meeting in Seattle, WA this morning. A list of all the winners and honorees follows:

HONOR: Splendors and Glooms by Laura Amy Schlitz (Candlewick Press)

Caldecott Medal
