Atheneum Books for Young Readers to Publish The Lord of Opium by Nancy Farmer

Atheneum Books for Young Readers, an imprint of Simon & Schuster Children's Publishing, will release The Lord of Opium by Nancy Farmer in September 2013. This book serves as a sequel to the 2002 hit bestseller, The House of the Scorpion. To this day, it is the only book to have ever won the National Book Award, a Newbery Honor, and a Printz Honor all in the same year.
