Scholastic, Inc. Sends Books to NY & NJ Schools Affected by Hurricane Sandy

Scholastic, Inc. has begun distributing the one million books and teaching resources it pledged to donate to schools and libraries affected by Hurricane Sandy's destruction. Boxes of books have already arrived at the OLC School (located in Hillside, NJ).
"The effort is part of a larger initiative by Scholastic to donate a million books to schools impacted by Sandy in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut. School officials began picking up books on Monday at sites operated by Kids in Distressed Situations Inc. -- a nonprofit that helps children scarred by poverty and tragedy."
