ABC Family Options the TV Rights to Juliet Immortal and Romeo Redeemed

ABC Family has optioned the television rights to Stacey Jay's two Romeo & Juliet-inspired young-adult novels, Juliet Immortal and Romeo Redeemed. The first title came out in August 2011 and the second one followed in October 2012.
"Now, as far as I know I won't be writing the adaptation or producing (The Hollywood Reporter needs to fact check a little better), but the books have been optioned for development and the process is moving forward. Of course, it's important to remember that many, many, many books are optioned and still never make it to the small (or big) screen, but this is still really thrilling news that I'm so happy to share with you."
