Stephanie Oakes Lands Book Deal with Dial Books for Young Readers

Debut author Stephanie Oakes has signed a book deal with Dial Books for Young Readers, an imprint of Penguin Young Readers Group. Oakes has penned a novel entitled Minnow.
This fiction story was inspired by a Grimm's fairy tale called, "The Handless Maiden." The publisher plans to release the book in summer 2014. Editors Nancy Conescu and Stacey Friedberg teamed up to oversee the acquisitions process. They negotiated with Jennifer Laughran of Andrea Brown Literary.
