Former National Ambassador for Young People's Literature Jon Sciezka Signs Book Deal with Amulet Books

Former National Ambassador for Young People's Literature Jon Sciezka has signed a deal with Amulet Books, an imprint at ABRAMS Books. Sciezka's new six-book, middle-grade series will be entitled Frank Einstein. Artist Brian Briggs will create the illustrations for this project.
The publisher plans to release the first book in fall 2014. The story stars a young scientist who has an adventure with two "imperfect" robots that he invents. Publisher Susan Van Metre and Executive Editor Charles Kochman teamed up to oversee the acquisitions process and secured World English rights. They negotiated with Literary Agent Steven Malk of Writers House.
