2012 Goodreads Choice Award Winners Announced

The winners of the 2012 Goodreads Choice Awards have been unveiled. Goodreads designates four exclusive categories to honor works of children's literature: young adult fiction, young adult fantasy & science fiction, middle grade & children's and picture books.
The nominees of the "Best Goodreads Author" category can come from any genre. Divergent trilogy author Veronica Roth came out on top as the winner. She faced off against several popular kidlit writers including Mortal Instruments series author Cassandra Clare, Bloodlines series author Richelle Mead, Cinder author Marissa Meyer, Delirium series author Lauren Oliver and Legend trilogy author Marie Lu.
