Jeff Kinney Confirms There Will Be an 8th Diary of a Wimpy Kid Book

ABRAMS' Amulet Books imprint will be releasing book seven of the Diary of a Wimpy Kid series, The Third Wheel, tomorrow. 2012 Children's Choice Book Awards "Author of the Year" winner Jeff Kinney will be hitting the road on a seven-city book tour to promote his newest book.
In an interview with The Green Bay Gazette, Kinney revealed that he will be penning an eighth book for the series. When asked about his illustration process, Kinney replied: "I come up with the jokes first and the illustrations last. So those decisions come very late in the game."
