Francis Lawrence to Direct Final Two Hunger Games Films

Lionsgate has hired filmmaker Francis Lawrence to helm the final two movies of The Hunger Games film franchise, Mockingjay Part 1 and Mockingjay Part 2. Currently, the director is shooting the second installment, Catching Fire, in Atlanta.
So far, Lawrence has received a stamp of approval from cast member Woody Harrelson who plays District 12 mentor Haymitch Abernathy. Harrelson has praised the new director for being "very thorough, very on top of everything." The actor also revealed that Lawrence has encouraged him to learn more about post-traumatic stress disorder in order to prepare for Catching Fire.
