The announcement kicks off Teen Read Week, celebrated annually the third week of October. The titles were nominated by book groups, and young people nationwide voted for their favorites.

  8. The Scorpio Races by Maggie Stiefvater (Scholastic)

  10. Abandon by Meg Cabot (Scholastic)
