James Dashner Lands Book Deal for a New YA Trilogy Called the Morality Doctrine

The Maze Runner author James Dashner has landed a book deal with Delacorte, an imprint at Random House Chidren's Books, for a new young-adult trilogy called the Morality Doctrine. The technology-themed story features cyber terrorists and extreme virtual gaming. Editor Krista Marino oversaw the acquisitions process.
"The first novel, The Eye of Minds, will be published in fall 2013 and concerns Michael, a gamer who may be called upon to rescue other players being held hostage inside the total-immersion VirtNet. A trilogy and e-book original shorts are planned; Dashner's Maze Runner series has sold 1.75 million copies in all formats in the U.S. and Canada."
