Lauren Kate Pens a New YA Trilogy Called Teardrop

October 16, 2012

Fallen author Lauren Kate has landed a book deal with Delacorte, an imprint at Random House Chidren's Books, for a new young-adult fantasy trilogy called Teardrop. The story stars a seventeen-year old named Eureka Boudreaux whose tears possess the power to raise the lost continent of Atlantis.

Editors Beverly Horowitz and Wendy Loggia teamed up to oversee the acquisitions process and secured North American rights. Inkhouse Literary Agents Michael Stearns and Ted Malawar represented Kate in the deal. Book one will be released in fall 2013. Readers can also look forward to three short stories set in the Teardrop universe that will be published in eBook format.
