Alexander Vance Lands Book Deal with Feiwel and Friends
September 21, 2012
Writer Alexander Vance has landed a middle-grade book deal with Feiwel and Friends, an imprint at Macmillan Children's Publishing. The project, titled The Heartbreak Messenger, stars "a seventh-grade boy who gets entrepreneurial in an unexpected way: he starts a business that ends relationships for those looking to avoid the dirty work."
The book will be released in spring 2013. Jean V. Naggar literary agent Jennifer Weltz oversaw the deal on behalf of Vance. Editor Liz Szabla acquired the title at auction. Szabla predicts that this publication will appeal to both boy and girl readers.
