Peter Lerangis Lands 7-Book Deal with HarperCollins

Peter Lerangis, a writer who has contributed three titles in Scholastic's 39 Clues series, has landed an impressive seven-book deal with HarperCollins' Children's Books. Editor David Linker described the story as a cross between the Indiana Jones films and Rick Riordan's Percy Jackson series.
Seven Wonders, a middle-grade series, will kick off with the release of The Colossus Rises on February 5, 2013. From there, each subsequent titles will follow every nine months. In addition, Lerangis has also written a prequel series called the Seven Wonders Journals to accompany these books. The first one, The Select, will come out on December 18, 2012 as a free e-Novella. The prequel books will be available six weeks prior to each Seven Wonders book release.
