Candlewick Press to Publish an Illustrated Edition of 'The Odyssey'

Candlewick Press will be publishing a new illustrated edition of The Odyssey. The book, due out on September 11th, is aimed at readers ages 8 and up.
The publisher enlisted Gillian Cross to pen the story and Neil Packer to produce the illustrations. Cross wrote a "simple" re-telling of Homer's epic poem. Packer claims that his art pieces required a lengthy creation process that felt "nearly as long as Odysseus’s journey!"
