Warner Brothers Snatches Up Film Rights to The Planet Thieves

Warner Brothers has acquired the film rights to The Planet Thieves, a forthcoming YA novel by Dan Krokos. Tor/Macmillan's Starscape imprint will release this book in May 2013. According to Krokos' website, The Planet Thieves involves alien races and an outer space adventure.
Suzie Townsend, Krokos' agent, sold this book as well as its sequel to editor Whitney Ross. In addition, Krokos also has a trilogy project with Disney Hyperion. The first title, a middle-grade novel called The False Memory, was published in August 2012.
