CBC members, please join us for our next CBC Forum, "From the Teen's Perspective" - a panel discussion on what really interests teens.

Lisa Von Drasek, media specialist, academic librarian, and adjunct faculty member at the Bank Street College of Education's elementary school.
Sara Shandler, VP & Editorial Director, Alloy Entertainment - a creative think tank that develops and produces original books, television series, and feature films. Sara began her career in publishing as the author of the New York Times bestseller, Ophelia Speaks, and as a writer for Seventeen magazine.

The details: This forum provides a valuable opportunity for publishers to hear what teens really think and what grabs their interest. The program will be in the form of a moderated panel that will discuss such topics as:
· books-to-movies / books-to-television-shows
· trends (vampires, dystopian, twists on classics, etc.)
· e-readers / reading in different formats
· marketing that works/ marketing that doesn't work
o book trailers
o dedicated websites
o dedicated Facebook pages
o book signings

Remote access: The CBC is pleased to offer real-time remote access via WebEx for those who are unable to attend the discussion in person. You will be able to participate in the program and submit questions live. Please let Mary know if you'd like to register so she can send you the password and instructions. You are also welcome to submit questions to the panelists via Mary in advance of the event for their consideration.
