Simon & Schuster and Houghton Mifflin Harcourt Team Up to Re-issue the 'Earthsea' Series

Simon & Schuster Children's Publishing Division (S&S Kids) and Houghton Mifflin Harcout (HMH) have come together to re-issue the six titles in Ursula K. Le Guin's beloved Earthsea series.
All six titles will be released on September 12, 2012 in hardcover, trade paperback, mass market paperback, and eBook formats. Each book will adhere to a uniform cover design and contain new afterwords written by LeGuin. In interviews, the author has expressed her full support for this partnership between S&S Kids and HMH.
HMH retains the rights to books one, five and six (A Wizard of Earthsea, Tales from Earthsea and The Other Wind). S&S Kids retains the rights to books two, three and four (The Tombs of Atuan, The Farthest Shore and Tehanu). The idea behind this partnership agreement was conceived by S&S Kids president Jon Anderson.
