Hilary Weisman Graham Sends Fake Rock Band Out on Tour

The prolific filmmaker went the creative route when it came to promoting her debut YA title, Reunited.
How many authors do you know assemble a fake recording artist and then send them off on a "joke" tour? In the book, three ex-best friends travel 2000 miles to attend a concert headlined by alternative rock band level3. Simon & Schuster Children's Publishing and marketing firm Curious City partnered up with Graham to setup an "official" website, a Twitter account, a Facebook page and a ReverbNation profile. The funny part is that no actual band will show up at the tour stops. Instead, event attendees will be treated to music courtesy of level3's opening act, ukulele player "dilly dilly."
