New Kidlit iPad Apps From Jamie Lee Curtis & LeVar Burton

Picture book author/actress Jamie Lee Curtis and former Reading Rainbow host/executive producer LeVar Burton have each released a kidlit app for the iPad.
Auryn Inc. transformed Curtis' 2000 humor title, Where Do Balloons Go? An Uplifting Mystery, into an app filled with loads of interactivity. Some of the features include a balloon theater, a balloon dance party and fun challenges. Burton and his team devoted two years to building their iOS app. While it is light on the animation and interactivity, users can explore books with games and readings delivered by professional storytellers including Burton himself. The apps also contains video field trips starring Burton.
