Blogger, Tiana Smith, admits she judges books by their covers all the time, and this time she sizes them up on a global level.

Collecting the book cover images from Goodreads, Tiana Smith had a chance to give a side-by-side comparison of hit YA titles. She assessed the covers for their ability to convey story content, mood, and target audience, among others. Here's what she had to say about The Hunger Games: 

The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins:

It took me a long time to read The Hunger Games because I didn't like the cover. It seemed too masculine and I didn't get any idea of what the book was about. With the American version, I think they were trying to heavily market the male audience as well.
