2012 Writing Challenge: Writer's Quest with Edgar Rice Burroughs

Students grades K–12 are encouraged to participate in the 2012 Reading Rockets writing challenge, honoring Tarzan author Edgar Rice Burroughs.

Edgar Rice Burroughs is best known for his timeless character, Tarzan. To celebrate the legacy of Burroughs' beloved works and to recognize the Burroughs' influence on generations of writers following him, Reading Rockets is honoring the author and his work with their 2012 writing challenge. Students grades K–12 will not only learn more about Edgar Rice Burroughs and his incredible characters, but they will also enjoy their own writing adventures with thought-provoking prompts.
