Philip Pullman Uses Twitter For Storytelling
“I joined Twitter back in November because the people who do my website suggested it would be a good quick way of keeping in touch with readers. I soon found that I didn’t have very much to say, so I started telling the story of Jeffrey the fly, who was a valued member of the household. It just grew from there.”
Pullman has enjoyed writing Jeffrey’s story, but doubts that it will turn into a full-fledged book. In addition to working on this social media project, Pullman has been penning a companion novel to the His Dark Materials trilogy. On his website, Pullman calls The Book of Dust “the most important thing I’m doing.”
