New York, NY (November 8, 2016) — Scholastic (NASDAQ: SCHL), the global children’s publishing, education and media company, today announced the appointment of Mindy Stockfield as Senior Vice President, Marketing, Creative and Multiplatform, Trade Publishing, effective December 1, 2016. She will report to Ellie Berger, President, Scholastic Trade Publishing.
Mindy Stockfield has held senior positions in entertainment, print and digital media, and her expertise in children’s content and media have been core to her career. She joins Scholastic from MTV where she was Senior Vice President of Marketing, overseeing all off-channel campaign strategy, digital and social marketing, and consumer advertising for MTV’s major events. Prior to joining MTV, Ms. Stockfield served as Vice President, Marketing and Digital Media for the Disney/ABC Television Group’s adult trade book division, Hyperion, where she led the ePublishing business and social media outreach, working with top authors. At Scholastic, Ms. Stockfield will lead a team across brand and retail marketing, publicity, digital initiatives and creative services.

Prior to her positions at MTV and at Disney/ABC’s Hyperion, Ms. Stockfield held marketing and digital roles at Disney Channel and Cartoon Network. She began her career as an Account Executive at Modem Media in Westport, Connecticut.
Mindy Stockfield is a popular speaker at industry conferences, including PROMAX, digital Book World, Kid Power Exchange, and more. In addition, she is an Adjunct Professor at New York University, teaching a graduate school course on digital media. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from Syracuse University, S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications, with a degree in Advertising.
