Innovations in Braille Literacy
The Braille Enrichment for Literacy and Learning (BELL) Academy is just one organization dedicated to improving the reading lives of blind and visually impaired children. Greater awareness has also led to innovations such as braille tablets and iPads, and RBD readers.
Once teens get that braille display, I hear from them less often, even if they are reading more, because they have the independence and autonomy—and privacy—to select and download braille books. (School Library Journal)
