National Ambassador Gene Luen Yang on Diversity and Comics

July 28, 2016

Gene Luen Yang made history this year as the first graphic novelist to be named National Ambassador for Young People's Literature. Though Yang has been a lifelong lover of comics, he's excited by the recent boom in the art form and its acceptance in libraries and classrooms.

Through his platform Reading Without Walls, Yang hopes to inspire readers of all ages to expand their reading tastes and discover diversity in both format and content.

Check out these recommended titles from the National Ambassador himself!
