Every Child a Reader, the Children's Book Council Foundation, is dedicated to supporting positive programs and opportunities that help promote the enjoyment and importance of reading among America's youth.

Every Child a Reader, a 501(c)(3) organization, seeks to harness the collective power of the children's book publishing industry to create a positive social impact in our communities. Its goals echo those of the CBC, which are to make the reading and enjoyment of children's books an essential part of America's ed ucational and social goals and to enhance public perception of the importance of reading.

ECAR administrates Children's Book Week, the longest-running national literacy initiative, as well as the National Ambassador for Young People's Literature program.
