This month, Random House Childrens’ Stephanie Pitts, editorial assistant, and Mary Van Akin, publicity assistant, introduce us to Schwartz & Wade!
Established in March 2005, Schwartz and Wade Books, an imprint of Random House Children’s Books, is run by publishers Anne Schwartz and Lee Wade. Anne and Lee take a unique approach to the creative process and believe that the best books for children grow from a seamless collaboration between editorial and design. The imprint publishes about twenty books a year, mostly picture books, as well as middle grade and young adult fiction, non-traditional nonfiction, and graphic novels. Recently, Schwartz & Wade Books published the 2012 Caldecott Medal Winner, A Ball for Daisy by Chris Raschka.
